Bee Cheng Hiang

Bee Cheng Hiang (Chinese: 美珍香; pinyin: Měizhēnxiāng; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Bí-chiⁿ-hiuⁿ) is a company that produces Asian-style foodstuffs, especially that of Singaporean cuisine. Started as a market stall in 1933 in Singapore, the company had expanded its operations to countries such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines and China.[1] Its most well known product is bakkwa[2]—smoked and roasted strips of pork with a consistency similar to jerky. Bee Cheng Hiang introduced Gourmet Bakkwa in 2003 which is bacon-like slices of bakkwa and in 2005 the Chilli Gourmet Bakkwa which includes chilli as well.

Today, Bee Cheng Hiang has more than 160 retail outlets located across 8 countries, namely, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, South Korea and Philippines.
